A Little Catch Up

So its been a little while and I thought you all might like a little update... 2 big things are going on here in the Huret household. JM is about to start a new Job he will love YAY! and Jiggy is almost potty trained.. I am doing pretty well too. I'm adjusting to work and the crazy schedule. Also I just found out Vogue is required reading. My life is so hard :) However most of my excitement comes from lil Jigs. She is turning into a great little dog.

We have had her home for a few days now. She is the sweetest thing. Playful, full of life; Which means I'm not getting much sleep... But its ok. Hopefully she will continue to adjust in the coming weeks.

We recently met the newest member of our family. She is still too young to come home with us and I am finding it extremely hard to wait two weeks. So in the mean time I'm "nesting."

A new car

So the other day I was driving to work and all of a sudden my 2000 Honda Civic SI's engine turns off. I didn't have any idea why that happened, so I pulled over to the side of the road and I couldn't get it to start again. After discovering that my AAA membership expired 2 weeks ago, I had to call a tow truck for $80. That was annoying, but not nearly as annoying as finding out that the problem with my car was the timing belt which is a huge problem. Also, because I was going about 55 Mp/h at the time the piston rings got messed up, so in order to have this fixed I needed a new engine.

That poor civic has seen the worst of my high school car experiments and I was actually considering getting a new car sometime soon anyway because of all the crazy deals going on. So, I am donating the Civic to Habitat for Humanity and I purchased a 2009 Ford Focus.





I have never really been much of a fan of the Ford Focus in the past. However, this new body style actually looked pretty good to me, and it has a ton of great features (chrome package, mp3 player port, automatic everything, sweet glowing lights, microsoft phone sync). Not to mention that it was listed for $20k and I got it for $14k :-D.

The last 2 weeks

We just got back from 10 full days of vacation. Over the 10 days we went to FL and got to see both my parents and JM's. We relaxed, went to the zoo, did a little shopping and boating. It was great! I also got my hair cut in FL!! I got a ton of layers which makes my hair curl up better. Also -no bangs. I'll try and post a picture once I get a good one. But I love it It looks great and is so easy for summer.
Sooo now we are back. I have started my job at Nordies (amazing life improvement). And we are getting ready to welcome a new baby into the family... a little puppy named Jiggy.. hopefully.

Our kitchen is done!! Well pretty much. JM is installing the microwave as we speak and we have a few paint touch ups but its amazing to have a kitchen. Its beautiful. Here are some pictures. Come over and we'll make you dinner!

Hair Resolution

I have decided that I'm getting my hair cut at a when I go to Florida next week. I am taking pictures of beautiful people (with and without bangs), my questions and concerns and asking the hair stylist what they think. When I come back I'll post pictures. It will be a surprise for us all. Who knows maybe I'll be brunette.
